Coming from a world in which going to more funerals than weddings is not unusual, these sights on the Bund in Shanghai and in places of eclectic temples out of many tourists’ ways came as a surprise.
The Bund area had a couple posing every few meters that day. Maybe that the stars were favorable for marriages then.




Whether it’s about getting married or other hopes for the future, Lao-Tzu’s words have a certain constancy in coming in handy:
“If I keep a green bough in my heart, the singing bird will come.”
