Patients: Lions

“Rien est un mot spécieux qui ne veut rien dire. Rien m’a toujours mis la puce à l’oreille.” (Nicolas Bouvier)

Patients Lions

Lianes (2004)

Burning eyes
No king can take
Crown on head

Plaster on mouth
To dismiss the words
Not to be discussed

As insane and label
Fewer risks
Of having to change
Or give
What can't be given
Anymore

The chickens run
From a plane to a train
Training their smile
While a plaster mutes
Nothing
It gets deeper instead

The pain says something
And the plastered are choking
At dawn

The morning is out
But the blue skies wait
As patiently as the lions
